As a practitioner trained in both mental health and functional nutrition, I take a holistic approach to mental health that addresses biological, psychological, and psychosocial factors. Using EMDR and other modalities I help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, navigate life transitions, and cope effectively with stress.

People often seek therapy when they are feeling less confident in themselves or their ability to cope. I take a strengths-based approach to help my clients better understand and utilize their own unique strengths and build resilience for future obstacles. It is my goal that therapy will leave you feeling more confident in yourself and with new tools to use.

I am trained in EMDR therapy and have successfully treated clients for traumatic events, attachment injuries and adverse childhood experiences, anxiety disorders, and a variety of other issues.

I graduated with a BA from the University of San Diego and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. While in school I worked in Human Resources, office administration and recruiting. I always had a passion for working with people! After graduating with my Masters I started working at a non-profit Mental Health Systems Center helping adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health challenges. I then went to work at a non-profit residential facility for children / adolescents struggling with trauma and emotional and behavioral disorders. Here is where I grew to love working with teens! I currently have worked in private practice since 2016 helping children, teens and adults treating a broad range of mental health disorders and interpersonal issues.

NUTRITION BLISS, JEN MARTINSEN, IFNCP, CIHC

Hi! I’m a functional nutritionist, holistic health coach and speaker supporting women to understanding their bodies, feel good, and get inspired. Following a successful career in the corporate wellness industry for over a decade, I found myself uninspired, facing personal symptoms that included insomnia, low energy, & acne, and a young baby facing unexplained weight loss & lethargy. It led me down a path looking for answers, knowing deep down there was a better way.

The more I learned, the more I experienced, the more I wanted to know. What began as a passion project to heal my son, became a whole lot more. I soon realized I wasn’t the only woman confused on how to best support myself, not being understood in doctors’ offices, and struggling to find someone to help. Like my own journey, my education & practice have followed my curiosity.

I quickly discovered there is never just one path to healing your body. And if I’m going to lead you through this process, I want to offer more than just nutrition guidance. So, yes, I’m an Integrative & Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner and a Certified International Health Coach. I have also studied clinical nutrition, stress management techniques including breath work & meditation, mindset practices, herbal medicine, and more. In my practice, I offer individual functional nutrition consultation, group programs, and my signature program, The IntuitiveMethod ™, that combines nutrition, mindset, lifestyle, and stress reduction skills with listening to your own body.

Mandy S. Chuey, LCSW

I value being a warm empathetic listener who can help you gain insight and offer support. I believe therapy is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist.

Reaching outside yourself for support takes courage. As your therapist, we can work together to help you with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and relationship struggles. I offer an open minded and non judgmental approach. I believe that true change comes from a strong alliance between client and therapist. Therapy is not an action that is done "to you" but a journey we are on together.

My hope is that together, we can get you to a place of peace, balance and happiness. I believe in the deep healing through EMDR and have seen first hand the amazing transformation in clients addressing distressing events or past traumas.
